FUNCTION AT THE BOATSHED
What you need to know.
The Boat Shed is located in the heart of the city on the Northern banks of the River Torrens. The Boat Shed is the name of the club’s function facility, having undergone an impressive renovation, which was completed in 2011, the Boat Shed serves as a superb venue for numerous styles of functions.
The venue boasts:
Refrigerative and evaporative air conditioning
Simple kitchen facilities
2 plasma screen TV’s available with full room hire
Large and powerful sound system
With a bar our members bartend and kitchen available to caterers, The Boat Shed can cater for up to 180 people standing and 150 people seated for a dinner.
Included in the hire is access to the following:
20 trestle tables (enough for 150 people)
150 white function chairs
300L fridge
Microwave
Cordless microphone

Cocktail Party
The Bar area located in the front third on the western end of the building is excellent for cocktail and work drink events. The bi-fold doors are closed off creating a space capable of catering for up to 60 people.
Sit Down Dinner/Lunch.
With the whole area cleared, the function centre has the ability to cater for 150 people in a sit-down setting. Our 20 trestle tables and 150 chairs will be provided to you as a part of your venue hire. The Boat Shed provides for a wonderfully warm atmosphere for any kind of sit-down dinner.
Engagement Party.
Use this elegant space to celebrate that special day in a unique venue that is bursting at the seams with character and charm. Whether it is a small intimate event or a larger celebration of a future life together we can cater for both. Ask about decorators for that little extra touch.
Large Parties,
Whether it is a 21st, 30th or 80th The Boat Shed has the ability to have 2 distinct areas that any great party requires; a bar area and a dance floor. The powerful sound system will have your friends dancing to your favourite songs. 2 x 46 inch LCD screens can provide the canvas for those much dreaded embarrassing speeches.
